Terms of Service
Effective date: January 16, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Plaincount (the "Service"). The Service helps accounting firms and their clients convert invoice emails and documents into ready-to-review bills in QuickBooks Online, with approval workflows, audit logging, and rollback controls.
Use of the Service
You may use the Service only in compliance with these Terms and applicable laws. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.
Review and Approval Responsibilities
The Service may extract information from invoice documents, create draft records in connected accounting platforms (for example, QuickBooks Online), and route items for review or approval. You are responsible for reviewing, approving, and validating outputs before relying on them for bookkeeping, tax, payroll, or financial reporting purposes.
Plaincount does not provide accounting, tax, or legal advice.
Accounting and Document Data
By connecting accounting platforms and/or using invoice ingestion features (including forwarding emails or uploading documents), you authorize Plaincount to access, process, and store data solely to provide and improve the Service. This may include invoice documents, extracted fields, email metadata (such as sender, subject, and timestamps), and related workflow status data (such as approvals, posting attempts, and audit logs).
Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with third-party platforms such as QuickBooks Online and email/document delivery providers. Your use of those services is governed by their respective terms and policies. Plaincount is not responsible for third-party service availability, outages, or changes.
Availability
We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Plaincount shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from your use of the Service, including reliance on extracted data or posted records, business interruption, or loss of data.
Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if continued access could create security, legal, or operational risk.
